This is the brave figure of Yoshitsune Minamoto at the Battle of Dannoura in 1185.
Yoshitoshi Tsukioka painted a beautiful figure of Yoshitsune Minamoto.
Especially, the silver color of the helmet still shines beautifully 150 years after it was drawn.
Yoshitsune who won this battle finally destroyed the Heike.
When he was a child, Yoshitsune lost his father Yoshitomo Minamoto, killed by Heike, and Kiyomori Taira deprived his mother Tokiwa Gozen.
Yoshitsune was also forced to become a monk, but refused and raised his army according to his elder brother Yoritomo Minamoto.
Yoshitsune, a tactical genius, defeated the Heike army in various places and finally destroyed them in the naval battle of Dannoura.
In this picture, Yoshitsune protects Kiyomori Taira's daughter, Kenreimonin.
It is said that the Kenreimonin was lifted after diving into the sea, but it was protected after this battle, becoming a nun, and mourning the war dead.
